Day 2
Good Morning. Madie is up and getting a little breakfast right now. She gave us a good taste of what the future holds for us in regards to sleep. She was up quite a bit last night. Today we relax and swoon over Madie and get ready to go home tomorrow morning. Her are some new pics of Madie and the new fam.

WELCOME MADELYN JOY MORITZ
Madelyn Joy finally made her appearance at 7:17 am on August 25th 2007. After about 7 hours of good strong contractions Madelyn still had not made it far enough down to fully dialate the cervix. The Doctor put Sarah on Potocin in hopes that it would strenghten her contractions and move the baby down. Unfortunatly it did not. Sarah was having extremely strong contractions for about 3 hours with no improvement. At that point the doctor recomended we go in for a C-section as her labor had pretty much come to a stand still. Sarah could have continued to wait, but it would have only put undue stress on the baby. After a little discussion we decided it was time to have our baby.
The C-section went very well, with no complications. Both Sarah and Madelyn are doing great. A little tired but not to bad overall. Madelyn weighed in at 7lbs even, and 20" long. She has light brown and blond curly hair. We will see how long that lasts. She is beautiful. Here are some pictures to wet your whistle.
Baby Has Started Her Journey
Yes indead, we are finally ready to get the ball rolling. We got admitted to the hospital at about 11:30 pm on 8/24/2007. Sarah was about 3.5 centimeters dialated and having contractions just about every 4 minutes. After they checked her in they took us to our luxary suite to let us get comfortable. About thirty minutes later the doctor came in and broke Sarah's water. That should get things moving right along says the doctor.
Well the doctor thinks that we will have the baby by breakfast, so if baby takes after Dad we may have a baby by 8am but if she takes after mom, we should see baby just in time for a late breakfast around 2pm.
Well keep checking the blog and we will try and keep everything up to date as we move through the process.

Red Rover, Red Rover, Send Baby on Over,
Day 7 and still no baby. Our Doctors appointment went well yesterday minus the actual arrival of the baby. The heart rate is strong and there is plenty of fluid in the placenta to sustain the baby another few days. So we are scheduled to induce labor at 7 am on Monday morning, unless she comes earlier. We are still praying that she will make an appearance before then so we don't have to induce, but at least we have an end in sight. We will continue to keep you updated on all that goes on with the child. The Dr. thinks she is weighing in at about 7lbs and 7ounces right now.

STILL NO BABY!!!!!!!
Yes it is true, we are now 6 days past due date with no baby to show for it. Apparently life inside of Sarah's belly is much like living at Disneyland. It is apparently the happpiest place on earth. Why would any child want to leave? So for now the only baby in our house is our little black and white friend Melvin. Spoiled little stinker.
We have a doctors appointment today and will be putting together our case for inducing this labor. We will have to persuade the Dr. to kick us into high gear, which I am not sure that she will do. Either way I will try and keep you all posted as I know you are all as anxiouse as I to welcome this baby to the world.
Signing off for now.
