The Heed es Down (in an Irish accent)

Yes, that is correct folks, this little lady is a geniouse! Her little noggin is in the downward position with botty right under my sternum and feet constantly jabbing me in my right side...constantly. She is so good though and growing like a little weed she is. Just about 4lbs is what doc says, and her movement and strength remind me of that every day. Lets see, whats new, Im barely getting any sleep lately except for the 12 straight hours I was blessed with about 3 weeks ago, this little mamma is a tossin and a turnin. Between the very frequent trips to the pisser, and man are they uncomfortable trips. Talk about waddling like a duck, its no wonder I feel like the weight of the world is right between....well, you know. And then I get to the pot and nothin but a pathetic little excuse for a dribble. Then, 20 minutes later...dribbles baaack!

Also new, she totally responds to music. Her favorite song right now...Fergie's "Big Girls Dont Cry" every time this song is on the radio she goes movin around the womb like crazy! It happened 3 times yesterday!
Also as you know Ive been experiencing the Braxton Hicks contractions for about the last month or so. Though not anything to worry about, they sure are wildly uncomfortable as the whole belly just tightens up rock hard for about 45-60 seconds. I wonder what she thinks is going on cuz she really gets stuck somtimes!
Hmmm. Well folks, that about all I have to report up to this point. My appointment are now going to be every two weeks, so that'll be fun, and I will have more to report, but as for now, its just the waiting game. Waiting, and gaining, weight gaining...wow, Im really starting to loose it.
Well speaking of weight gaining, she is supposed to be gaining about 1/2 a pound a week! Which might put her at about 7 pounds...keep your fingers crossed she'll stay a little one.

My First Shower!!!

Well, I had my very first Baby shower this last weekend, and my girlfriends that threw it for me really went all out. I am truly blessed to have friends like these in my life. It was a brunch, and beautifully decorated with pink and chocolate brown. All my favorite people were able to be there, and it was just so relaxed and lovely to be able to just catch up and bask in the glory of babyhood. Since I cant really bend at the waist these days (ha!) mom assisted in handing me my gifts. Lets just say the babe sure made out with some incredibly cute loot. She will be one sassy mamma when in comes time to dress her up.

Chauncy's in Good Hands

For those of you who had been wondering about our dearly departed Chauncy, we recently got an update from him new owner Jason. It turns out he is a dog of the sea, and has taken well to being first mate on Jasons sailboat. He is a brave soul as you can see, and Im sure you would agree he seems best fit for the open waters. We love him still and miss him everyday, although I think Melvin feels it the most. Poor Mel. He will soon have a litte pink friend though, so dont worry for him too much.
More baby updates soon to come...
