Myanmar Cyclone Victims

As the death toll rises in Myanmar, little aid is getting to the cyclone victims. Myanmar's government has received millions of dollars worth of aid for its people, but has not distributed any of it. As many of you know, my parents run the Joy to the World Foundation from Colorado Springs, CO. I spoke with my dad earlier today, who is in contact with Pastor Lu Chee Shi, the Director of Joy to the World Foundation in Chiang Mai, Thailand. Pastor Lu has family in Yangon and various contacts throughout the city. He plans to visit Myanmar soon to find out more about the situation. Because Joy to the World Foundation is a Thai charity approved by the government for relief work and orphan care and because Pastor Lu is a Myanmar citizen with many co-workers and contacts in the country, the Foundation will have access to distribute funds and relief that few organizations will be able to provide given the government situation there.
